About the Program
At Borinquen Medical Centers, our Family Medicine Residency Program is more than just training—it’s a mission. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we prepare physicians who are passionate about caring for diverse populations and dedicated to serving those who need it most.
Our three-year (36-month) postgraduate program builds well-rounded family physicians through a robust curriculum that combines hands-on patient care, structured rotations, and rich longitudinal learning experiences. Each stage of training has clearly defined goals and objectives tailored to your level of practice, ensuring progressive growth and mastery.
Residents benefit from a supportive learning environment with weekly didactic sessions, conferences, workshops, and skill-building experiences. From pediatrics to geriatrics, acute care to chronic disease management, our program blends academic rigor with a deep commitment to community service—equipping our graduates to lead with both clinical excellence and compassion.
